Neck Pain

Neck pain can be caused by a variety of different conditions that require personalized and distinct treatment. Really, neck pain is a symptom and not a diagnosis that identifies the cause. Causes of neck pain that are serious include: cardiovascular pathology, cancer/tumor, infection, auto immune disease, stenosis, fracture, and dislocation. Luckily, most of the time neck pain is due to a musculoskeletal or biomechanical problem. More common conditions include: vertebral disc problems, facet joint problems, muscle damage, ligament damage, and postural abnormalities.

Any one of these pathologies can result in pain, spasm, stiffness, weakness, and even numbness or shooting pain into the arms/hands. You will want to seek out a physician, like a Chiropractor, who can correctly examine and diagnose your neck pain to make sure that you get the right care. If you are having neck pain, please do not hesitate to contact us.

  • "Dr Fields is exceptional. He works very hard to rehab physical issues, listens to your comments, and takes more time working with patients vs others I have worked with. No doubt the best I have visited."
